Scoundrel time in the White House.

Bill Clinton is, and always will be, a coward. He dodged the draft, demonstrated against his country in a foreign land during the Vietnam War, and now he's exercising his power as President to destroy a defenseless 6-year-old boy to appease Fidel Castro.
Yesterday, in a brief statement, Clinton said he merely seeks to uphold the rule of law? The man was impeached and held in contempt of court by a federal judge because he violated not only the rule of law, but about a dozen criminal statutes. During his 7 1/2 miserable years in office, we've
learned that there are no rules and no laws in Clinton's world.
No, this has nothing to do with the rule of law.
On December 1, 1999, the Clinton-Reno Immigration and Naturalization Service, which rarely meets an immigrant it doesn't want to deport, issued a press release confirming that Elian's legal custody must be decided by a Florida state court. Less than a week later, they reversed themselves.
Suddenly, the Clinton administration asserted its authority to deport Elian to Cuba. No longer would it await the outcome of a custody proceeding. What happened to the rule of law? Ask Paula Jones, Juanita Broaddrick, and Kathleen Willey.
Remarkably, this reversal is said to be justified because the Clinton administration believes Elian should be reunited with his father. Never mind that Castro is every Cuban's legal guardian — whether child or adult. Never mind that Elian's father has no say in how his child will be raised.
In any event, Clinton, Reno, and the INS's bureaucrats do not speak for Elian and his best interests. They are not his guardians. They are the federal government, and they are hellbent on exercising their muscle and deporting this child.
While Clinton, his wife, and most liberals lecture us about the needs of children — feeding, clothing, schooling, medicating, and protecting children — they do so only as a means by which to empower the federal government and diminish individual liberty. It is government power that
they worship, not children. Their actions in this case make that clear. The federal government will exercise its authority and decide Elian's fate, even though it need not. Clinton won't allow Elian's relatives or "right-wing" Cuban exiles in Miami to tell him what to do. By God, if the
federal government decides to send this kid to Castro, it shall be done.
Clinton: coward.
