Power Outage Puts a Damper on Festivities

SANTIAGO DE CUBA, April 7 (Santiago Santana, APLO) - An all-day power outage frustrated anniversary celebrations by the Communist Youth League and a Young Pioneers Organization on April 4.

Political, cultural and social activities programmed for several schools in the city were never carried out due to the outages which started at 9:20 a.m. and ended at between 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Several youths who belong to the Communist Youth League told APLO that instead of having fun, as they had been promised, they felt indignation at the outage.
