Paramilitary threaten to publicly disrobe dissidient

MATANZAS, Cuba, February 13 (Oscar Sánchez Madan / www.cubanet.org) - A dissident says paramilitary members stopped him on the way to a Pro Human Rights Party last week and threatened to leave him naked in the street.

Emilio Bringas Débora said the incident occurred February 4 when he was heading to the home of party member Reinaldo Delgado. Both Bringas and Delgado are regional delegates of the party.

Bringas said that on January 28 another group stopped a party organizer, Nelson Ruiz Alonso, and took him handcuffed to a police station where he was held for 24 hours and fined 90 pesos on a charge of public disorder.
