Crowd blocks entrance to building, preventing dissident meeting

HAVANA, October 13 (Carlos Aitcheson Guzmán, BISL / www.cubanet.org) - Some 300 government supporters blocked the entrance to a building where a meeting of dissidents was to take place.

The meeting was scheduled for the Nuevo Vedado apartment of Marta Cortiza y Eugenio Leal, members of the Social Democratic Current.

When Manuel Cuesta Morúa and Leonardo Calvo arrived for the meeting, they were intercepted and not allowed to enter the building. Cuesta Morúa said the crowd shouted obscenities at them and followed them for five blocks as they left the scene.
