Dissidents prevented from holding meeting
PINAR DEL RIO, Cuba, October 5 (Rafael
Ferro, Abdala Press / www.cubanet.org) -
The Political Police carried out arrests
this week to prevent dissidents from holding
a meeting.
Detained were members of the People's Party,
the Racial Integration Movement and the
National Civic Movement.
Among the detainees were Dioselys Blanco
González, Damián González
Villafranca, Luis Milian Colombé,
Conrado Rodríguez Suárez,
Pedro González Acosta, Eliosbel Garriga
Cabrera, Pedro Luis Sabat Valdés
and Carlos M. Collazo. Pedro González
Acosta, who was free on parole, was returned
to jail.
