Dissident accused of possessing enemy propaganda

SANTA CLARA, Cuba, September 29 (Alain Ramón Gómez Ramos, Cubanacán Press / www.cubanet.org) - Dissident Carlos Camilo Valdés Figueroa was detained by agents of the political police in Minas, Camagüey province on Wednesday and accused of possessing enemy propaganda.

He was stopped on the street and surrounded by five agents who seized various papers and documents issued by the Christian Liberation Movement, to which he belongs. Afterwards, he was taken to the provincial capital where he was interrogated by an official of State Security.

He was finally put on a bus and returned to Minas.
