Dissident struck by Communist Party member
in front of his home

Brito of the November 30 Party says one
of its members, Elvis Gregorio Pérez
Lara, was punched in the face by a member
of the Communist Party last week.
Perdigón Brito said the incident
took place in front of Pérez Lara's
home as he was returning. She said that
about 40 people, most of them Communist
Party members, were congregated in front
and that one of them punched him. She said
the crowd shouted obscenities at Pérez
Lara.
Besides being a member of the November
30 Party, Pérez Lara is an independent
librarian. Perdigón Brito is a party
organizer.
