Police cruiser stoned in Havana

HAVANA, November 15 (Ernesto Roque Cintero, UPECI / www.cubanet.org) - Six police cars were dispatched in a fruitless search for someone who kicked and stoned a police cruiser in the capital on Sunday night.

The incident was the third to take place against the police at the intersection of San Nicolás and Dragones streets in three months.

The call from police cruiser 646 brought to the scene within minutes a lieutenant colonel and troops from the Revolutionary Armed Forces, as well as police officers. The attack left dents in the car.

One officer told bystanders, "You're going to call us bad, but we'll have to pay for the damage.

The troops and police left after an hour without making any arrests.
