Rafter caught and returned four times to
Cuba
HAVANA, November 16 (Amarilis C. Rey, Cuba
Verdad / www.cubanet.org) - Cuban authorities
have fined rafter Jesús Hernández
Matamoros 1,500 pesos - the equivalent of
about nine months salary - after he was
caught and returned to the island for the
fourth time.
Hernández Matamoros, 33, said he
was summoned by State Security officials
August 16 and questioned for four hours
about his frustrated attempts to reach the
United States.
Hernández Matamoros works at the
José Martí International Aiurport,
but he was demoted from his job as a specialized
equipment operator.
