Prisioner of conscience moved to maximum
security facility
HAVANA, November 9 (Ernesto

Eduardo Díaz Fleites, one of the
75 dissidents arrested imprisoned in 2003,
was moved last month to the maximum security
prison at Kilometer 8.
His wife, Margarita Deulofeu, said the
move from the Pinar del Rio provincial prison
was reprisal for husband's refusal to accept
food or medicine.
A member of the August 5 Movement, Díaz
Fleites is serving a 21-year sentence.
