Anti-government posters appear in Batabanó

HAVANA, Cuba, October 31 (Ernesto Roque Cintero, UPECI / www.cubanet.org) - Some dozen posters and anti-government graffiti appeared on walls in the southern coastal municipality of Batabanó last week, some as a result of power outages because of Hurricane Wilma.

"We want to live without power outages," "Power outages are terrorism," and "Down with Fidel" red some of the posters.

As a result of the posters, police called in for questioning about 20 people, including independent journalist Richard Roselló, who said he was questioned about the anti-government slogans.

"I don't write on walls, I write on what I think is paper," Roselló said he told the police.

Among those questioned were several repatriated rafters.
