Jazz piano player Nachito Herrera will bring a taste of Cuba to the Centennial Homes Summer Jam.

Originally from Cuba, Herrera and his family now call Minneapolis home.

According to the publicity material, "He plays with energy and intensity and his music blends the classic Cuban sound with his own unique jazz style."

He will perform in Aberdeen with his new Bembe Band. Members of the group include drummer Rau'l Pineda, lead vocalist and percussionist Jesu's Diaz and vocalist Mirdalys Herrera.

Nachito Herrera has toured, performed and shared the stage with exceptional musicians including Chick Corea, Michel Camilo, Michael Tainer, Tito Puentes, Oscar de Leon, Giovanni Hidalgo, The Yellowjackets and many more.

Herrera has been involved in 15 album projects in various capacities as a producer, arranger and featured artist.

The Centennial Homes Summer Jam runs from noon until 10:30 p.m. It is free to the public. Food and beverages will be sold.
