Government blamed for water shortage
PLACETAS, Cuba - July 1 (María
Elena Alpízar Ariosa, Grupo Decoro
/ www.cubant.org) - More than 100 people,
including members of the Communist Party,
signed a protest petition criticizing the
government for a lack of water.
The petition accused public servants of
not fulfilling their obligations to the
public. The signers said municipal government
leaders showed disinterest in the water
shortage.
Besides members of the Communist Party,
signers included retired municipal employees,
workers and students in Santa Clara province.
