A cyclist from Pinner plans to make a wheel
difference to children suffering from cancer
and leukemia when he sets off on a sponsored
bike ride across Cuba next month.
Michael Decent will begin his 260-mile
cycle challenge along with nine other riders
on Christmas Eve, and hopes to raise up
to £5,000 for the charity Cancer and
Leukemia in Childhood.
The 27-year-old said: "I have never
done anything like this before, but I can
think of no better challenge to push myself
to the limit while helping raise money for
children with cancer."
Michael, who has previously run the London
Marathon, will set off in Havana, spending
five days peddling on roads and paths on
his way to his final destination of Trinidad.
The money raised will fund specialist who
care for children suffering from the diseases
at home and in hospital.
