Police arrests teenagers who attacked gays
in Havana
HAVANA, Cuba, Jan. 23 (www.cubanet.org)
- Fourteen youths between the ages of 13
and 18 were arrested by police for attacking
gays in the Habana del Este district, according
to residents in the area.
The youths would lay in wait for gays heading
for a place called Playa de Chivo, attack
them and steal their possessions.
According to residents, the teenagers also
confessed to robbing tourists.
Four of the youths were released but the
others remained in custody.
