Shooter kills two, wounds a third in Cuba
PINAR DEL RÍO, Cuba, August (Rafael
Ferro Salas, Abdala Press / www.cubanet.org)
- A 24-year-old man, whose name was only
given as Liván, was arrested as the
prime suspect in a shooting spree inside
a home that left two dead and a third wounded.
According to witnesses, the man knocked
at the door of a home on Isabel la Católica
Street, in Pinar del Río, armed with
a hand gun. When Jesús Tegrán
opened the door, the man shot him dead.
Tegrán's daughter, Magdalena, came
running upon hearing the shots and the man
shot her too.
The man later shot a son of Magdalena inside
the house.
People in the neighborhood said the man
had gone to the house to shoot a daughter
of Magdalena, with whom he had had a relationship
that had gone sour.
