Wife of Cuban political prisoners visits relatives of other jailed dissidents

SANTA CLARA, Cuba, Sept. 22 (www.cubanet.org) - At the request of her husband, jailed activist Librado Linares Garcia, Magalys Broche de la Cruz has been visiting the relatives of some of the 75 political prisoners imprisoned in April.

The first person she visited was Barbara Rojas, wife of independent journalist Omar Ruiz Hernandez, in Santa Clara. He's serving an 18-year-sentence.

Broche de la Cruz has been reporting to the relatives on the health and state of mind of their imprisoned husbands and sons.

Linares Garcia, leader of the banned Cuban Reflection Movement, is serving a 20-year sentence.
