HAVANA, December 12 (www.cubanet.org)
- An agent of the political police who only
gave his name as Manuel temporarily detained
independent journalist Ana Leonor Díaz
December 10 as she tried to board a bus
to cover a dissidents' ceremony in commemoration
of International Human Rights Day.
Díaz lives in the Vedado district
of Havana and was trying to get to the outlying
town of Jaimanitas to report her story.
