On January 11th, 28 years old prisoner committed suicide after penal authorities
at the Prison of Quivican denied his request for medical atttention, informed
the political prisoner Cecilio Ruiz Rivero.
Javier Morales Pérez, alias "El Pirri", from Artemisa in
Havana, spent days with an intense toothache but the requested medical attention
was denied to him.
The prisoner was transferred to a punishment cell instead. There he
committed suicide, hanging himself.
