( GUANTÁNAMO, CUBA / February 6th - Puenteinfocubamiami.org)- On
January 30th, a seventeen year old common prisoner by the name of Juan Carlos
Hernández, who is serving a 10 year sentence for animal grand theft
(mainly chickens) at the prison Combinado de Guantanamo, was the victim of a
brutal beating at the hands of Reinaldo Soler Fernández, reeducator at
the prison – informed from Guantánamo Ada Kaly Márquez
Abascal, Vice Delegate of the Democratic Party November 30 "Frank País".
The re educator, took out his anger on this young man because for three
days in a row the prisoner had been crying, with a terrible toothache and was
begging for medical assistance. This young man, faced with the abuse of power
by his aggressor, mutilated himself with a piece of broken glass. Only three of
his five wounds received stitches. The two wounds on the prisoner's face were
left untreated by orders of Mayor Reyes Cobas- finished saying Márquez
Abascal.
