HAVANA, August 13 (José Antonio Fornaris, Cuba-Verdad /
www.cubanet.org) - Residents of Pinar Street, in Havana's Arroyo Naranjo
municipality, have been without water for two weeks and don't even know
why.Resident Magalys Felipe Valdés said the faucets just dried up on July
27 without any apparent reason, adding that the local government representative
has not been able to find any answers in that time.
Valdés said residents have agreed to write a letter to the municipal
headquarters of the Communist Party seeking a solution to their problem, because
they have to hand carry water from four blocks away.
"They haven't sent a tank truck either, which would have provided some
relief," she said.
