(GUANTÁNAMO, CUBA, 30 de noviembre del 2001) - Yeisnier Villar Pérez,
24 years old, and a prisoner at the maximum security prison Combiado de Guatánamo,
was brutally attacked by Captain Víctor Reyes Cobas. Villar Pérez,
refused to participate in some military exercises, and long forced marches.
Yeisnier Villar Pérez, informed his aggressor that he was not in the
military to have to do these exercises, furthermore, he was a victim of this
repressive penal institution which had deprived him of all his benefits, such as
the suspension of family visits and the right to conditional freedom. <?xml:namespace

Seventeen days ago, an officer of the guard, known by the nickname of "Bouli
" along with other guards, savagely beat Villar Pérez for having
requested better security for he feared for his life in Floor 3 C.
Yeisnier Villar Pérez, has been confined to the punishment cell
TO-500, with no running water or electricity where plenty of rodents and
mosquitoes make their presence well known.
In the prison system of the dictator, Fidel Castro, prisoners not only
suffer cruel and degrading treatments, but they are also deprived
systematically of lifes fundamental necessities, such as food, medicine
and water.
