Demand exceeds capacity at computing center

RANCHUELO, Cuba, March 7 (Félix Reyes Gutiérrez, Cubanacán Press / www.cubanet.org) - As many as 40 would-be students could not register for computer instruction at the Youth Computing Club in Ranchuelo February 28 due to the small size of the hall, said Ismary Pozo, a frustrated registrant.

Workers who need computer instruction for their employment went home disillusioned after standing in line for hours in the early morning waiting for the club to open its doors. Most of them said authorities should just relocate the club to a bigger facility, especially since computing knowledge is a requirement at many workplaces.
