Cuban police agent fatally shoots car
occupant
HAVANA, January 16 (www.cubanet.org) -
The occupant of a car whose passengers were
involved in a discussion with two police
agents in another car was shot and killed
this week after being removed from the vehicle.
The victim was identified as Roberto Castilla,
37, a civilian employee of the Revolutionary
Armed Forces Ministry.
Eye witnesses said the two cars were side
by side at an intersection in the Cerro
district of Havana. They said that one of
the officers left the car, pulled Castilla
from the other vehicle and shot him in the
head.
The officer and a witness were taken away
in a police cruiser.
The incident occurred at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday.
