Poor mail service irks Isle of Youth residents in Cuba

NUEVA GERONA, Cuba, January 9 (www.cubanet.org) - Residents of La Demajagua, a small town in the Isle of Youth, complain that mail service has reached new lows in quality of service and dependability.

The last straw, one resident said, came about because the local post office has no glue to affix the stamps or seal the envelopes. "According to officials, the reason there is no glue is that the post office doesn't have dollars with which to buy it," said María Julia Domínguez.
