HAVANA, June 26 - An inmate at the Kilo[meter] 7 maximum security prison
received a beating after refusing to participate in a political act in the
prison yard, reported relatives.
A guard known by his last name of Sosa beat prisoner Junior Rivero with a
rubber stick June 18, causing him one open wound and several black and blues
over his body. Rivero has been in a punishment cell since the incident, said
relatives.
