Candidates for employment at new tourist hotel need political endorsements

CIEGO DE ÁVILA, Cuba - Candidates for employment at the new "Breezes" tourist hotel need to pass an exam and obtain endorsements from block committees, the Armed Forces and the Communist Party and be between 25 and 40 years of age.

"It's not easy but you have to try if there's an opneing amid all the corruption,"said one graduate of the local Formatur school.

The "Breezes" hotel is project of the Gaviota (Seagull) Corporation, which belongs to the Revolutionary Armed Forces and owns hotels throughout the island.
