HAVANA, September 16 (Manuel David Orrio, CPI / www.cubanet.org) - An
officer of the Investigative Technical Department told next of kin of the five
victims murdered in Artemisa, a town west of Havana, August 30 that the
department has one suspect in custody.
Homicide investigators have said they are working on the premise that the
motive for the murders was robbery.
The five victims were all found around a farm in the outskirts of Artemisa.
One of them, Osmel Martínez, was past grand master of a Cuban fraternal
lodge.
The Cuban government press has never mentioned the incident at any time and
several versions of the event and its investigation are circulating in the
street.
