HAVANA, September (Victor M. Dominguez, Lux Info Press) – Independent
clowns who practice their trade at private events are being criticized for not
joining the Cuban Clowns Circle, formed three years ago.
Most of the independent clowns were trained in circuses, theater or amateur
organizations.
Members of the Cuban Clowns Circle are obliged to pay 200 pesos a month,
even thought they might not have stable contracts to perform.
