Recently-remodeled bus depot back on the skids

HAVANA, November 22 (Moisés Leonardo Rodríguez Valdés, Grupo Decoro / www.cubanet.org) - The Marianao bus depot popularly known as "El Lido" reopened eight months ago after undergoing a thorough remodeling. Today, it is again showing signs of serious neglect.

At the entrance to the waiting room, there are more than 30 floor tiles missing. The two available water fountains are dry. Of four TV sets that were installed, only two are in working order. Of the ten ceiling fans installed during remodeling, there are only seven left, and three of those are not working.

These problems have cropped up in spite of measures taken to safeguard the facility. These measures include closing the waiting room at night and anytime there is a blackout, by order of the Ministry.
