JUTINICU, Cuba, Dec. 5 (Antonio Alonso, national president of ANAIC /
www.gacicuba.org) The National Alliance of Independent Farmers has agreed
to reorganize the independent cooperative movement in Cuba.
Members made their feelings known during a visit by Diosmel Rodriguez,
founder of the Independent Cooperative Project in Cuba. While here, members
drafted a document on the aspirations of the Cuban cooperative movement.
The autonomy of the National Alliance of Independent Farmers allows it to
take pertinent decisions and make changes in the project.
The members agreed to modify the statutes of the cooperatives and draft,
within 60 days, the General Regulations of Farm Cooperatives and start their
fiscal year with the calendar year.
