HAVANA (AP) - Two men are searching for answers in the death of their
father, a Spanish national stabbed while on vacation in Cuba.
Jose Moreno died Aug. 12 in the eastern Cuban province of Camaguey, his
26-year-old son, Andreas Moreno, said Saturday.
"We don't have any details, only that he was stabbed with a steel blade
in the heart," he said. "We don't know ... where his belongings are."
Cuban authorities informed relatives in Brazil about the death. Moreno was
living with his second wife in Porto Seguro, Brazil, about 500 miles (800 km)
northeast of Rio de Janeiro, although he held a Spanish passport.
His hometown in Spain wasn't immediately available.
Moreno's two sons arrived Wednesday to inquire about the case and bring
their father's body back to Brazil.
The 66-year-old had been on holiday in Cuba alone.
No other details were immediately available.
