HAVANA, August 8 (Alicia Zamora, Lux Info Press) - Two agricultural workers,
Juan Francisco Gómez, and Carlos Ramón Amaro, were fired from
their jobs after publicly expressing their disapproval of the recent government
campaign to enact a constitutional proposal to declare Socialism untouchable
in Cuba.
Gómez and Amaro worked for Basic Unit No. 6 of the Animal Husbandry
Enterprise Hermanos López, in Bayamo, Granma province, in eastern Cuba.
They had been employed for two and four years, respectively.
They were fired during a campaign of "Entrepreneurial Improvement"
at the firm.
