DOHA: Cuban Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque met the emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, here on Saturday and delivered a message from President Fidel Castro, the official news agency QNA reported.

The message focused on "the means to boost cooperation between the two countries in different areas," it said.

Sheikh Hamad in September became the first Gulf Arab monarch to pay an official visit to Cuba. (AFP)
