Journalist Denied Exit Visa


HAVANA, April 18 (Mery Miranda, Cuba Press) - A Cuban Immigration Service official yesterday notified independent journalist Ohalis Víctore that "her exit visa had been denied by the State."

Víctore, 22, who has received political refugee status from the US Interests Section in Havana, said: "I have never belonged to a political organization in Cuba; I never even worked for the State."

The Immigration Service official did not specify if the denial was temporary of permanent.
