Wave of Grave Desecrations in Central Cuban Cemeteries

CIEGO DE AVILA, April 14 (Juan Carlos González Leyva, FAPDH) - One or more unknowns desecrated five graves in the cemetery here in the early morning hours of April 3. The perpetrators took several bones and left the graves uncovered.

There were also reports of desecrated graves in the neighboring town of Ceballos. In the last few months, graves were also desecrated in cemeteries in Venezuela, Baraguá, Primero de Enero and Majagua, all neighboring towns.

Local police do not have any suspects.
