Lima, Dec 20 --(EFE)-- The Peruvian airline Aerocondor will fly the
Lima-Havana-Lima route beginning in January 1999, the company's legal
representative, Julian Palacin, said Sunday.
The Peruvian airline signed a ``joint'' agreement with the Instituto
Aeronautico Civil de Cuba and the Russian company Aeroflot to introduce Peruvian
flights to the Caribbean island ``for the first time in history,'' Palacin
explained.
The first flight, scheduled for Jan. 7, will be done aboard an Russian jet,
offered by Aeroflot as a result of the pact, the Aerocondor representative
stated.
The Peruvian airline will offer two flights per week, on Thursdays and
Sundays, Palacin added.
