FROM CUBA
Cafeteria is short on drinking glasses

SANTA CLARA, Cuba - January 10 (Jannice Broche, Villa Blanca Press / www.cubanet.org) - Customers say a cafeteria in Santa Clara has so few glasses they often have to wait for another customer to finish and for his glass to be washed before they can be served.

An employee of Hamburguecentro, the cafeteria in question, confirmed they have few glasses, adding that the ones they do have usually have a jagged edge somewhere.

"Yesterday, a girl cut her lip as she was drinking water," he said.

The glasses were originally made from beer bottles that were cut in half.
