Dissidents in Pinar del Rio threatened by the political police

PINAR DEL RIO, Cuba, October 14 (Rafael Ferro Salas, Abdala Press / www.cubanet.org) - Roberto Estrella Salas and Carlos M. Collazo, members of the Opposotion Party of the People, were threatened by two officers of the political police in the tourist town of Viñales.

They said that agents identified as Orlando and Roberto questioned them for three hours and forced them to return to Pinar del Rio by bus.

"We went to Viñales to carry out works for the Latin American Federation of Rural Women," Collazo said. "Our sisters in the federation had started an investigation that they were going to extend to other municipalities and asked our help."
