New posters outsting Fidel appeared in Havana

(HAVANA, Cuba, May 8 / Informationbridgecubamiami.org) - Several posters saying "Oust Fidel" and "Long Live Liberty", appeared in different locations in the capital on May 6, reported sources of the independent press.

According to sources in the municipality Centro Havana, the signs were painted in the portal of a medical post located in the street Arbol Seco between Sitios y Peñalver and in the indoor walls of the well known Finca de Los Molinos, in the Avenue Carlos III between Calzada de Infanta and Avenida de Boyeros, informed Niurka María Monteron Sánchez, a Lux Info Press collaborator in Havana.

Posters appeared in the bathrooms of the Heladería Copelia, located in the corner of 23 and L, and in the external walls of the Hospital Calixto García, highlighted the source.

After the vote condemning the Cuban government in Geneva last April 15th, the regime's political police had to wash out dozens of anti-Castro signs that appeared in different locations throughout the Island.

In accordance with a report of the Democratic Party November 30, several posters with anti-Castro signs appeared on April 20th, in the bridge of the central highway and another in the national freeway in adjacent territories of the municipalities of San Miguel del Padrón, Cotorro and Guanabacoa.

According to the report given to Lux-Info-Press, the text of the signs were in support of vote in Geneva and ousting the government of Fidel Castro.

3 members of the opposition arrested in 2002 were tried and convicted in Havana

(HAVANA, Cuba, May 8 / Puenteinfocubamiami.org) - Three members of the Democratic Party November 30 "Frank Pais" arrested on February 28th, 2002, were tried on May 6, 2004 in Havana.

José Enrique Santana Carreira (Pepito), Nacional Coordinator of the Democratic Party November 30 " Frank Pais", Rafael Corrales Alonso, Municipal Delegate of the Democratic Party November 30 "Frank Pais" and Ricardo Ramos Pereira, member of the above mentioned Party, were tried on May 6, 2004, at the Municipal Tribunal of the 10 de Octubre municipality in Havana, declared to LUX INFO PRESS Frank Garcia Llerena, member of the National Executive of the Party.

Jose Enrique Santana Carreira, Rafael Corrales Alonso and Ricardo Ramos Pereira were sentenced to 4 and 5 years in prison respectively, accused of the supposed crimes of resisting arrest, contempt and public disorder, finished saying Garcia Llerena.

Jose Enrique Santana Carreiras, Rafael Corrales Alonso and Ricardo Ramos Pereira were arrested on February 28, 2002, for simply participating in a civic activity at the Catholic Church of the Passionists (Católica de los Pasionistas).
