HAVANA, March 11 (José Antono Fornaris, Cuba-Verdad /
www.cubanet.org) - A serious fire broke out Sunday in a warehouse belonging to
the Cuban armed forces in Managua, a town 20 miles south of Havana.
The fire started at about 11:00 a.m. and was finally put out five hours
later. According to eye witnesses, nine fire trucks and more than 20 tank trucks
responded. Also, they said, hundreds of military personnel in the area were
mobilized, as well as a helicopter which was used to take out rolls of electric
wire, paint tanks, and mattresses.
