MIAMI, Sept. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- A special report on the Castro Regime's ties
to international terrorism and its links with Middle Eastern extremists was
issued today by the Center for a Study of a National Option, a think tank
affiliated with the Cuban Democratic Revolutionary Directorate (Directorio).
Starting with Castro's May 2001 summit meeting with Iranian Supreme Leader
Khameini where they vowed to "work hand in hand to bring down the United
States,'' the report traces Cuba's possible direct links with Osama bin Laden,
its capacity for biological warfare and the active role it still plays in
harboring international terrorists and in pursuing an international anti-
Western front.
Based on established news sources as well as the testimony of experts on the
matter, the report clearly establishes Cuba's active role in promoting an
international "anti-Western front.''
The Directorio is one of the key Cuban American organizations working
directly with Cuba's internal resistance. Founded in 1990, it is recognized for
its in-depth publications on Cuba's social reality and human rights situation.
