CAMAGUEY, October 10 (Normando Hernández González, CPIC) – Cuban authorities prevented a pilgrimage by Catholic youths who sought to carry a Cross given to them by Pope John Paul II around the country.

The youths, who recently visited the Vatican on the occasion of the Jubilee, had to settle for depositing the cross at the Sanctuary at El Cobre, near Santiago de Cuba.
